LDS Music for iPad

I'm sure many of you have heard of the iPad, the new "slate" or "tablet" computer from Apple.  When the iPad was announced in January, I saw it as the ideal device for displaying music electronically and easily.  Thus, I was happy to adapt the LDS Hymns and Children's Songbook applications for iPad.

LDS Music (App Store link) combines the hymns and children's songs into one application.  Like its predecessors, it is free and I hope it will continue to improve based on your feedback.  Here are some screenshots:

  1. Thanks so much for your hard work. My only request would to have an option for pages to flip fully - right now when I'm playing a two-page piece and I swipe to turn the page, sometimes it bounces to the bottom and I can't see the top line it would also be nice to swipe right to left instead of bottom to top to change pages, more like with real sheet music. Thanks for your hard work!

  2. Good news! I've just submitted an update to the App Store with a Full Screen mode - perfect for piano players like yourself. Just press the Full Screen button in landscape mode and it will pull up all multi-paged songs with both pages displayed at the same time. You can turn it to portrait orientation for even bigger music and can swipe left to see the other page. Let me know how this works since I don't yet have an iPad!

  3. Hi,
I just donated via Paypal because I like what you did here!

I know the market isn't that big, but what would it take for you to publish the German hymnal?

    Best regards

    Dennis

  5. @Edward and Jennifer: Thanks! Unfortunately I currently work 80hrs/week in my real job and haven't had time to program for any other platforms. I'm not sure if there is an Android version available right now. I'd love to do it, but no time in the foreseeable future! Glad you are enjoying the app!

  8. Rick, really, your app is amazing. I just discover it looking for lds apps for my new ipad and, wow!, this app is one of the best. And also I was really impressed when i read that you only studied with a couple of iphone developing books in order to programing this app.

Well, I'd like to know if you have plans to develop an spanish version of lds music. I'll glad to help you.

    thanks again
    Guido

  10. Now that the score is included in the app I am ....singing! With joy. But today one of the songs still had the old version of just the words. A friend in front of me in church also has the app but hers came up with the music??? I wonder if a song I had previously accessed in the old version didn't Down load when I Updated, It was only one song so far that this has happened to. I think it was 63? All creatures....
